KFVS12 has three new employees:
Jeffery Kinzinger, Internet sales director for KFVS12.com, develops advertising strategies for the website and other media services. He has more than 10 years' Internet sales experience, most recently as Internet sales director at ABC affiliate WWAY-TV in Wilmington, N.C.
Will Rogers, classified Internet sales director, assumes classified services duties, including real estate and auto listings. The Jackson, Mo., native previously worked for AT&T. He has an undergraduate degree from St. Louis Christian College and a master's degree in management from Fontbonne University.
Account executive Lori Heath develops strategies for new and existing station clients. Originally from Raleigh, N.C., she graduated from the University of Missouri in 2002 and most recently was in pharmaceutical sales in southeast Missouri.

Paducah native Brandi Harless is a new member of the EntrePaducah staff, developing entrepreneurs who design or wish to design their businesses to improve the community socially and environmentally. Harless most recently worked for Washington, D.C.-based Management Services for Health, an international cooperating agency to USAID. She previously completed a master's degree in public health at Boston University and worked for the Harvard School of Public Health. Her undergraduate degree is from Vanderbilt University in communication of science and technology. She has significant grant-writing experience. Computer Services Inc. promoted Deborah Phelps Webb to customer resources vice president, managing employees in six locations responsible for customer hotline support and quality assurance companywide. She joined CSI's Customer Resource Center in January 1995 and holds a bachelor's degree in organization communications from Murray State University.

Tina Sharp is new grant writer for McCracken County Public Schools. She works with faculty and administration within the district to research, draft, edit and submit grant proposals. Sharp had held grant-related positions with Murray-Calloway County Hospital, the Kentucky Department of Education and West Kentucky Education Cooperative.

Greg Ross is new assistant principal at Morgan Elementary School. He began teaching in 2005 and worked at Cooper-Whiteside and Morgan schools in Paducah, as well as H.B. Slaughter Elementary in Louisville. He holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., and master's degrees in recreation and leisure services and in school administration from Murray State University. He is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at Western Kentucky University.

Tammy Porter is Lourdes' new director of quality and accreditation. She had served as surgical quality nurse at Veterans Medical Center in Marion, Ill., as well as assistant director of quality management at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Mark Osterhaus is new senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's Metropolis Casino & Hotel in Metropolis, Ill. He started with Harrah's in 2000 and for the past three years was assistant general manager at Harrah's Council Bluffs in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from the dual-degree program through Columbia University and the University of California-Berkeley.

Murray State University appointed Drs. Renae Duncan and Jay Morgan as associate provosts, effective July 1. They will work with Dr. Bonnie Higginson, who will become provost and vice president for academic affairs on that date.
As provost of undergraduate education, Duncan will oversee retention, undergraduate program assessment, academic advising, honors education, service learning and other undergraduate initiatives. She has been chairman of the department of psychology for 10 years and a faculty member since 1993. Her doctorate in clinical psychology is from Florida State University.
Morgan, associate provost of graduate education and research, will also be liaison to MSU's accrediting agency, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. He has been on the faculty since 1997 and is graduate coordinator for the school of agriculture. Morgan's doctorate is in agricultural education from Oklahoma State University.
Duncan and Morgan also will help with daily provost office operations and represent MSU on various committees and work groups associated with the Council on Postsecondary Education. They were selected through on-campus screening and open forums.

Phyllis Rouse, Beacon Properties manager for Jackson House Apartments and W.B. Sanders Retirement Center in Paducah, is the 2010 Kentucky Housing Corp.-U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Manager of the Year for elderly property. She received the award recently in Louisville.
Rouse also received the Kentucky and West Kentucky AFL-CIO Outstanding Achievement Award Friday during a dinner in her honor. She was the leader among 600 managers regionally.
"She got the award, but it was because of her leadership and the 11 employees who work for her," said Benny Adair, president of the Jackson House and Sanders boards and vice president of the Western Kentucky Area Council, AFL-CIO. "We're very proud of her and what the employees have accomplished."
Adair said the facilities remain full and achieved an outstanding HUD rating in their last inspection.

Community Financial Services Bank promoted Michelle Jameson to vice president. She started at CFSB in 1989 as a teller and currently is accounting department manager. She is a graduate of the Mid South School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking. She and her family live in Calvert City.

Paul M. Sinkhorn is new core operations director for Paducah-based Medical Accounts Receivable Systems. He oversees daily management of revenue cycle operations for MARS physician and hospital clients. The Louisville native has 22 years' experience in his field, most recently as senior executive with Jewish Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. He holds bachelor of science degrees from Indiana University and Indiana University Southeast. MARS provides billing and accounts receivable support to hospital, physician, ambulance and allied health care providers.

The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services appointed Andy Adams, Lourdes regional director of information systems and technology, to a two-year term on the Provider Adoption and Meaningful Use Committee. He will help the Kentucky Health Information Exchange Coordinating Council with issues, policies and procedures to advance the electronic health information exchange statewide.

The Kentucky Department of Parks named:
Ron Sydnor, former assistant manager at Lake Barkley State Resort Park, manager of the Jefferson Davis State Historic Site along U.S. 68 near Fairview, effective May 16. He has been with the state parks system for five years, starting at Kenlake State Resort Park near Hardin.
Michael Schwendau acting manager of Blue Licks State Resort Park and Museum near Carlisle, effective June 1. He had been assistant manager at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park near Gilbertsville for five years.
Curtis Gamblin manager of Mineral Mound State Park near Eddyville, effective May 16. He had been manager at Kentucky Dam for five years.
Scot Williams temporary manager at Kentucky Dam until a replacement is named. He had been an assistant park manager before moving to the department's food service division.

Gov. Steve Beshear appointed:
Denise Whitaker of Murray, principal at Farmington Elementary School, to the School Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability Council. She will serve until April 30, 2012.
Jonathan Parrent of Caldwell County to the Kentucky Board of Education, representing the First Supreme Court District. Parrent is dean of student affairs at Madisonville Community College and helps regional high school students improve college and career readiness.
Sheina Cruse Murphy, a self-employed Paducah peer disability specialist, to the Advisory Council for Medical Assistance. Her term expires April 15, 2014.
Frank J. Nichols of Community Financial Services Bank in Benton to the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority. His term expires Jan. 4, 2013.
Mark A. Workman, executive vice president of Geotech Engineering & Testing in Paducah, to the Employers' Mutual Insurance Authority board. His term expires Dec. 31, 2013.

Superior Care Home is among more than 450 long-term care organizations to win a national 2010 Bronze Commitment to Quality award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. The National Quality Award Program is based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Program. Superior developed vision and mission statements, showed awareness of environment and customer expectations, and demonstrated process improvement. It now works toward Silver and Gold Quality awards for performance excellence. Superior officials will receive the award Oct. 10-13 at the association's 61st annual convention and exposition in Long Beach, Calif.

The University of Kentucky College of Law graduate practices with Boehl, Stopher & Graves, specializing in general litigation, criminal defense and bankruptcy.

Quent Smith, customer service representative for Benton-based Community Financial Services Bank, graduated from the two-year Kentucky Bankers Association General Banking School. He is now eligible for admission into graduate level banking programs.

Taco John's of Jackson Street in Paducah was the area's first Taco John's to achieve the Diamond Circle Award from Taco John's International. Franchisees Tammi Halvorson and Stephanie Houser received the award at the company's annual international convention in Long Beach, Calif. The award is Taco John's International's largest and goes to only a small percentage of stores in the chain.
Taco John's of Bridge Street, operated by Halvorson and Danielle Cope, and Taco John's of Murray and Mayfield, operated by Halvorson and Kim Maddox, each won a Platinum Award for the 15th straight year. The award denotes superior sales and operations.

Henneberger Flynn Insurance Agency received the Agents Helping Agents Automation Award, given annually to one AHA member agency for implementing automated systems within its office. Henneberger Flynn has a fully automated, integrated management system, online quoting, sales and marketing tools, a digital IP phone and Internet system, a social networking site on Facebook and interactive website.

Four Paducah area Edward Jones financial advisers received awards for outstanding service over the past year. Heath Bowling was among 136 of the firm's more than 12,000 advisers to receive the Ted Jones Memorial award. Rick Robertson, David Glass and Chris Sims received the Jack Phelan Award, given to 3,243 Edward Jones advisers. Also, Bowling, Cindy Drennan Thompson and Saletta Royalty received the firm's Client Service Excellence award.

Jamie Sears and Roger Gough of West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative in Mayfield won Cooperative Communicators Association award for their website, www.wkrecc.com. The third-place award came June 13 in the website-external for members category at the 58th annual CAA Educational Institute conference in Minneapolis.

City Business Journals Network ranked U.S. Bank the leading brand based on a nationwide survey of small business owners. The study showed U.S. Bank familiarity grew from 32 to 42 percent over the past year, while many other regional and national banks lost ground. U.S. Bank improved across all attributes, including relevance, differentiation and brand momentum. The bank's Southeast Division office is in Paducah.

Paducah jewelry designer-manufacturer Jimi Gwinn was featured in the June Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America Journal, an issue on major trends in the jewelry industry. The story explains how Gwinn crafted his 2010 Vision award-winning pink tourmaline pendant using computer design and a laser welder.

Paducah Hibbett Sports manager Carmen McChristian received the $300,000 Increase Award at the annual Hibbett Sports managers' meeting April 25-27 in Birmingham, Ala. The award honors Hibbett stores with at least $300,000 in increased sales for the previous year.
